Getting started
Do I need a developer to install PixelMili?
No. WooCommerce / Shopify users install a plugin — zero code.
If you're on a custom site, copy-paste one <script> tag.
Will this slow down my site?
The script is async, under 10 KB gzipped, and loads after your page renders. Real-world impact on LCP / FID is effectively zero.
Does it work alongside my existing Meta pixel?
Yes — that's the recommended setup. Our events carry a unique event_id
that Meta uses to dedupe against the browser pixel. You gain the events that were lost,
without duplicates.
Events not showing up
Events don't appear in Meta Events Manager
- Check Test Events first (add a test_event_code in Settings → Integrations).
- Confirm the Access Token is still valid (Meta invalidates on password change).
- Open Events in your PixelMili dashboard — if the event shows there but not in Meta, it's a token issue.
Events show in PixelMili but fail to forward
Look at the event's Forwards tab — you'll see each platform's response code. Common fixes:
- Meta 190 — access token expired. Regenerate in Events Manager.
- Meta 100 — malformed pixel id. Double-check the Dataset ID.
- GA4 204 but no data — measurement_id or api_secret wrong.
Billing & limits
What counts as one event?
Every call to pm('track', ...) that our server successfully processes.
Rejected / invalid events don't count.
What happens if I exceed my quota?
New events are silently dropped once the quota is reached — they are not queued. Upgrade your plan immediately to resume tracking. Events sent during the over-quota period are permanently lost, so monitor your usage in Dashboard → Billing.
Can I downgrade my plan?
Yes, any time. The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Domains over the new plan's limit are paused (not deleted) until you upgrade again or remove them.
Data & privacy
Where is my data stored?
BDT-paying customers: Dhaka / Singapore (closest edge). International: closest region. Event retention follows your plan (30 / 60 / 120 / 365 days).
Are credentials encrypted?
Yes — access tokens and API secrets are encrypted at rest using Laravel's encrypted cast (AES-256) tied to your app key. We can never read them back in plain text.
